| Disney had a requirement to place a bunch of AV equipment in a
low credenza pushed up against a wall. The floor was raised and so there was
cable access from below. I suggested one of our custom swing rack installations
which included the design, custom fabrication of the swing racks and custom
fabrication of the console cabinetry. This is a good example of our custom
mechanical fabrication ability.
Over the years I have built a number of custom swing rack installations like this to solve the frequent problem of no rear access. Around 1997 after several intense re-designs I settled on the final plan and released it as a "standard" product through our Signal Transport brand. (still available at Signal Transport) The design used here is a predecessor. |

The entire front of the cabinet had wood doors to conceal the equipment. |

When opened, the doors allow front access to the equipment. |

The equipment racks are pivoted so they open out in pairs, sharing a common "wasted" access space between them. The wood doors are mounted to the metal spacer plate between the racks and move with them. |
